Biography

Katie Keever is a dancer, performer, and artist. She was born and raised in Connecticut and now resides in North Carolina. In 2023, she graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with minors in Sales and Theater. This past May, she graduated from High Point University with her Master of Arts in Communication and Business Leadership.

 

High Point University helped Katie develop into the eager and involved individual that she is. At HPU, she had the opportunity to join organizations that inspired her passions and developed her professional skills. She connected with students and faculty to build her network of unique and diverse perspectives. She values the philanthropic and volunteering opportunities to make an impact in the surrounding community of High Point and the greater Triad area.

As a company member of the High Point University Department of Theater and Dance, she worked to further develop her skills in theater and dance, as well as aid the program as a whole. She has performed in numerous dance concerts in various styles of movement. With the opportunity to perform, Katie was able to hone her performance capabilities while offering innovative ideas to shape each piece she was a part of.

 

Katie has also held many positions within the department, such as stitcher, wardrobe crew, and publicist, where she developed publicity for the Department of Dance in early 2020, planning events and capturing media for posters and social media. Along with this, she had many opportunities to help with load-ins, strikes, and general work calls on various productions, all while rounding out her capabilities as an artist.

 

Katie is grateful for her time dedicated to the Department of Theater and Dance at High Point University. Her current skill set of leadership, communication, organization, business acumen, and performing arts knowledge will only grow as she continues to gain leadership and experience opportunities beyond the performing arts.
